The Pismo Beach Car Show June
2003
Folks come from miles around, all over the state, to display the excellence of their work on automobiles. The specialties and talents they represent are in the fields of painting, (and I don't mean housepainting) upholstering, machining, and conception and design. The autos are all able to be driven on the road and some people do drive to the shows. often making the trek with their fellow Club members from all points North - West - and South.
My
Son made a visit up here on this particular weekend from San Diego and we
decided to go enjoy the beach weather and feast our eyes on these spectacular
acheivements of hard work and investment. Although bringing a car up to
this level of excellence does bring increased value, most consider it a
labor of love. It becomes something of an adventure for the owners and builders.
And for some, buying for investment, fun, and profit is a motive also.
The
following is a listing of the types of vehicles you will see:

- Classic Cars,
restored
to their original condition, colors and specs.
- Hot Rods,
built
around the engine and power train with just remanants of an original body.
3. Custom Cars, that
retain their original look and image on the outside, 
but
with state
of the art , exquisite paint jobs, perfect body parts, custom interiors
of Leather, with comfortable seating and all of the creature comforts
of todays fine cars.
4. Kit Cars, designed
to the specs of an original like the Ford Cobra 400 HP Racing Car and
this Ferrari.

And
then there are the ENGINES. Some
of these engines are so clean, you could eat off them. Of course if you
did.... they 'd have to shoot you,..... but if you
like to live dangerously....! click
